Tania Gioffre is an emerging Fine Art Photographer based in Melbourne, Australia.
Trained in many disciplines of art, writing and film at VCA and RMIT, Tania came late to photography and the realisation that it was the perfect creative medium that combined all her loves: art, storytelling, cinematography and theatre.
As a perpetual traveller, a camera was always at hand to document her adventures, and this finally led to formal training at the Photography Studies College, where she majored in Art photography and graduated in 2014.
Her recent work predominantly explores the darker side of the human condition, concentrating on themes of vulnerability, solitude and despair, drawing out the emotion and meaning through metaphor and a gentle surrealism in an attempt to create beauty from the darkness within.
Her love of dance and circus arts has also allowed her to work commercially with many local dancers and performers, as well as students and graduates of NICA.
